Hiring a good person onboard of your corporate vessel is an important decision. It is not as straightforward as choosing the best among a bunch of applicants; there is much more than that to it. It is about selecting someone who is ready to take the job on, willing to learn and grow and fits well within the team and blends easily within your corporate culture. Managing the recruitment process necessitates careful considerations.

This Management Tool Kit has three phases.

Phase 1: Insight

An initial questionnaire to assess your existing knowledge level about the recruitment and selection process; it will also explore the extent of your understanding of how professional interviews ought to be conducted.

Phase 2: Learning Lab

Your enrolment in "Hiring Top Talent" learning lab will expose you to deep learning of the following topics:

  1. Preparing for Effective Interviewing
  • Job description
  • Job specifications
  • Competencies
  • Interviewer skills
  1. Conducting an Effective Interview
  • Structure of good interviews
  • Behavioural interview questions
  1. Analysis and Selection
  • Assessment, evaluation and scoring
  • Making a final choice

The duration of this learning lab is three days.

Phase 3: Reflections

Upon completing the learning lab, you will be given a period of one to two months to implement your learning, to be followed by individual meeting and discussions with our consultant.

During this session you will discuss:

  • How you applied your learning
  • Things that went well
  • Challenges you faced during implementation
  • Future steps for further development

This reflection session has two options:

  1. Coaching session when you will reflect with one of Up & Arrow’s consultants on your performance during the implementation period.
  1. An Up & Arrow monitor will attend your recruitment session as an observer. Then the reflection and coaching  session will be conducted during which you will receive comprehensive feedback on your performance.

In either case we will walk through a detailed checklist to ensure your following the comprehensive guidelines for successful recruitment.
